ChannelMe.TV, the network where you can have your own .tv domain and push video content, has added an ad revenue-sharing model tat’s now being extended to its users. The program is free to sign up for, but you’ll need to be at least 18 years of age. From there, you can select from three categories of advertisements tat will display on your .tv page. You get a cut from the ad revenue generated for ChannelMe.
This is a very similar model to Revver’s, and YouTube is slowly rolling out its advertising options for regular users. As the .tv domain hype has yet to be met in reality, with both ChannelMe and Me.tv, it will be interesting to see if this particular tactic helps to a large extent, with ChannelMe. This ad rev-share model is widely used across video-sharing networks, and has been implemented in a successful manner by only a few networks. As far as video-sharing networks go, it seemed like many couldn’t launch in the past year without boasting their ad rev program, but this proves difficult for unestablished start-ups.
Magnify is another video network that has added an advertising program in which its users can participate, and the creators of HubPages have recently launched a stand alone service for highly custom ad placement, called Yield Build, which takes a more unique approach to the ad revenue-sharing model when used by social networks.
ChannelMe’s ad program is currently available to US users only, and payouts occur after your account has reached $10.

User comment: By: RafWhat about Amazon MP3? I generally check there first, looking to buy a DRM-free song. If they don't have it, then I go to iTunes.
