InterActiveCorp (IAC), which owns Ask.com, Evite, Ticketmaster, and many other popular Internet brands has reported earnings for its most recent quarter. Overall, revenues were up a rather modest 7 percent, but the company did show strong growth in its “Media and Advertising” divison, which includes Ask.com, Evite, and Citysearch. Revenue in Media & Advertising grew 40% since last year, rising to $189.8 million for the quarter.

Overall, IAC’s brands attracted an average of 56.9 million unique visitors per month during the quarter, according to Nielsen Online. However, the bulk of the company’s revenue still comes from Home Shopping Network, which begs the question of whether or not IAC should spin off their much quicker growing Internet properties.

In other recent IAC developments, Ask.com has been slowly gaining market share in search, Web 1.0 portal iWon was re-launched, and the company is still yet to come to terms with Google on a contract to continue their advertising deal beyond 2007.
