Searchles has just added a video remixing tool to its social bookmarking service. Called Searchles TV Remash, the new tool is currently in beta, and only supports YouTube and Google videos.
The editor itself is pretty basic. In order to add videos, you can use your own that you’ve added to your account, perform a video search, or provide the video’s URL. From there, you drag the clips you’d like to remix into the editor. Each clip can be further “clipped.” Select the start and end time for te clips, and the result is a string of clips that have been formed into a single mini-production.
So far, that’s the extent of the Searchles video editor. The “clipper” isn’t the most accurate, and there are no options to add music, graphics, effects, etc. Considering Searchles main function as a bookmarking tool, and the recent enhancement of Searchles TV, the new Remash feature is merely a simple extension of the aggregation tools that Searchles promotes. Other editors include Jumpcut and Mojiti.
