According to a leaked advertisement out of Canada, Rogers cable/ISP/wireless company will begin taking pre-orders fo rthe iPhone on November 20th, with a release date of December 7th.
The advertisement looks fairly final, and lists a price of $499 Canadian ($519 US by the current rate) for what is assumed to be the 8GB model. The interesting aspect is the requirement of a 3-year contract. I have no clue if that is the normal contract length in Canada, but it is one year longer than AT&T is requiring in the USA.
There had been rumors the phone would be delayed in Canada due to a trademark dispute with Comwave Technologies over their VoIP service named “iPhone”, but there has been no news of a settlement. Either it has “gone away, Apple is moving ahead, or this is a fake. We’ll know come November 20th.

User comment: By: ChrisThere are many of us in Canada who would be very thankful if Mashable would keep us updated on the price and quality of the data plans that Rogers will be offering in relation to the cost south of the border.
