yahoologo

The folks at Yahoo's Sunnyvale campus are working quite hard to beat back the aggressor that is Microsoft. So is it really any great surprise that a few of the company's execs have been treated to some nice financial bonuses for the extra effort?

Okay, yeah, that's a total lie. Sorry. The Yahoo suits, according to the AP, named Susan Decker (President) and Michael Callahan (General Counsel), and Blake Jorgensen (CFO) were award checks of $1.1m and $225,000, and $405,000, respectively, for all the stuff they did (and maybe didn't do) in 2007. Yes, 2007. Before Redmond started poking at Yahoo in a very public and very provoking way. Remember, Microsoft initiated its open takeover attempt on February 1st, 2008.

We know this data isn't particularly spicy. When heads of industry are routinely heard discussing figures in the tens or hundreds of millions - even billions - anything less than eight or nine figures is quite literally passed over. Still, here we are chattin' these three yahoos up. Kudos to ‘em all.
