Today is the official launch of the iPhone in the UK on O2 and in Germany on T-Mobile. Much like the launch in the US, Apple/O2 will be shutting down stores for a few hours to train employees on the device, and then officially opening up the doors to customers at 6:02pm local time. The price for the 8GB device will be £269 (about $562 weak US dollars) in the UK, and 399-euro in Germany ($587 USD).

I shall be going to get mine at 5pm *so only waiting a hour or so to get it*... Hoping the queue won't be to big. My team have been busy making a iPhone version of our networking site *http://www.lookitsme.co.uk* it will be opening its doors next week to all iPhone members 100% free.
