Joborate is another job search engine presenting a new way of approaching the tedious task of finding a job. The process on Joborate aims to be simplified for both employers and those seeking jobs. If you’re posting a job, you’ll see that a preview of the job post is created in real time as you complete the submission form.

Searching on Joborate flows in a different manner than you may be accustomed to on larger sites like CareerBuilder, as your results list dynamically changes as you type in your search query. This is in an effort to speed up the search process and expand the number of results you’ll get for a particular term, so that you won’t need to perform several searches for different terms. From there, a couple of filtering options are available, such as the city, the type of job, and the company. This helps carry a search for a casual browser more so than an actual job seeker.

With a wave of new types of search engines focused on various levels of personalized quality searches, we’ve seen the job search industry mimic much of this trend. But unlike other new job search services like Jiibe, Revyr or Trovix, Joborate doesn’t have any personalized options, accounts, automated matching tools or user-submitted content to supplement the basic data found throughout the site. There are also no other integrated features such as an exportable job board or searches across other networks in order to better publish and search data across the web. This leaves a lot to be desired for Joborate.

Yeah, I've got to wonder how fast it will be when they have thousands of jobs in their database. I'm assuming they've tested it with more than 47 jobs, but have they tested with 100,000+?

With 47 jobs in their DB that users can search through, I think it hardly is a search engine. The interface is cool and fast, but with 47 jobs, it's better be that fast, try loading up the database with 470,000 jobs and see how fast it stays ;)
